Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I hire the venue for a private event?
Yes, the venue can be hired out for private events. Hire fees and minimum spend depend on the day and nature of the event. Head to the Booking page and select "Private Hire" to get the ball rolling or alternatively pop by the bar if you are local for a chat!
Can I bring my dog to the bar?
We love friendly, well trained dogs at NBS so if you are planning an early evening visit Sun - Thurs free to bring your furry friend along with you.
Please be considerate to other guests and your pup! If you do find the venue starts getting loud and busy please think of your dogs need first. We reserve the right to ask owners and their pups to make alternative arrangements if we feel the dogs needs are not being met or the environment becomes unsuitable.
We request you do not bring your pup at any time on a Friday or Saturday.
Will I need ID come to the bar?
Due to council restrictions we are a strictly 18+ venue. As such you may be asked to provide ID to come into the bar, order a drink, or remain within the bar if we suspect you may be younger than 18.
If you are unable to provide acceptable ID when asked by staff then unfortunately we will be unable to serve you and you will need to leave the premises.
Acceptable forms of ID include - passport ( UK or international; unexpired )
- driving licenses ( UK or international; unexpired )
- Proof of age cards with a PASS logo
- EU national identity card (unexpired)
Unfortunately minors cannot be supervised/vouched for by parents/guardians/other guests. It is simply a condition of our license that everyone is 18 years or older.
Do you have a food menu?
While we don't currently have a food menu, we do have a range of bar snacks available, such as a mixed variety of nuts as well as different flavours of crisps. Please ask our bar staff what is available on the night of your visit.
Do you take bookings for hen do's/stag parties?
We don't accept bookings for hen do's/stag parties. While we encourage all our guests to have fun and enjoy themselves, being a small venue in the past we have found that groups of this nature can be quite disruptive and sometimes (albeit it unintendedly) off putting to other guests in the bar being dragged into dares/gimmicks etc.
