It's been a while, how have you been?

We'll be re-opening temporarily under reduced hours. From Wednesday to Saturday we welcome you to make a reservation with us for up to 6 guests. We'll be providing a table service throughout the venue so no need to move a muscle!

Following our risk assessment and as a community lead venue we have chosen at this time not to install perspex screens everywhere so our main control is a substantial reduction in our capacity and spacing of guests throughout the venue. With this in mind bookings have a default duration of 2 hours - but of course if wish to stay beyond that we will try our best to accommodate you where possible.

We are an independent cocktail bar in the heart of Bloomsbury. Like the original Bloomsbury Set we welcome you as you are, for the ideas you bring and the value you add.

The pineapple

The pineapple has been a symbol of hospitality since the 15th century, when it was first brought to Europe from the Caribbean. As a guest, there was no greater honour than to be served pineapple because it meant the hosts had spared no expense. Thus the symbol came to signify gracious gatherings.
